Unix hackers are wise enough to realize that hitting the Windows crowd is the smarter idea. While we're on that subject i'd like to remind everyone that the people who do have this sort of ability are professionals who test weaknesses in the security of the operating system.
And another thing, how many Mac viruses are there? In two years, i've looked far and wide and have documented TWO Mac viruses. One in an iLife '09 torrent, the other in an iWork '09 torrent. It effected a grand total of under 100 people.
Random interjection goes here, how do you know Win7 won't have these problems? How do you know an update won't go bad? I've seen bad updates before. Even OS X has had a couple. The infamous WIFI update (Around 10.5.5 if I remember rightly) disabled wireless networking for Macs. Cord-based connections still worked. |
Yes, but most people release that information for money, and it spreads out to others.
There are more Mac viruses, and as for the thought of people realizing windows is the place to hack, negative.
Recent studies have showed that mac users are increasing ever so steadily, and that soon the prime hackers will be on Macs as well.
I know Win7 doesn't have these problems since I've been beta testing it since the RC was released, and I am still testing the latest version <THE SHIPMENT VERSION>
Updates can go wrong, but M$ really hit the nail on the head this time...
And I am certified M$ partner, so I get the software bundle for $250 or so. I have every mac OS disk there is, as well as windows disks, and even some Linux disks

I realize I could use the disk and test the OS, but its just not the same, cause I am not a mac fanboy then...I can still, you know, upgrade my computer
