Btw Electric sets fail so bad for me. They don't feel like a real set whatsoever. Try switching between an acoustic and electric through the week like I'm forced to do. It really tests you.

I have no desire to only practice on an electric so I need to find someway to be able to play at my house with an acoustic.

Which brand of set do you like the best? I've been eyeing this used emerald green 6 piece mapex kit (for only $700) at guitar center for a while, but can;t decided if I want to spend the money.

I personally love my Gretsch.
You haven't heard a bass drum until you've heard a Renown Maple kick.

My next full kit will probably be an Epiarch.

My biggest problem is money. Musical equipment costs so much now-a-days.

Have you guys played any 3/4 timing songs? I find it so hard to play 3/4.

Great space ya got there!

But seriously, I have no clue yet in my playing what I would love to play. I don't think anyone should be further enough along in playing to know exactly what is good, at least not until you put in a good 20-30 year playing, and even still.

That is an amazing setup, Lud. Do you have neighbors that complain like I do? I love the big tub of sticks you have there.

Hahah thanks dude, they dont complain, thank you god.
Edit- To reply to the 3/4 time sigs, I dont find it very hard. One of my bands songs is in 6/8 which is basically 3/4. You have you get used to the counting, I find it easier to play it in 6.

6/8 is a sinch to me, but when it comes to 3/4 style songs I screw it up. There really arn't any modern 3/4 songs. I only ask cause im forced to play it sometimes at church.

I don't mind 3/4 at all. To me it's better that 6/8, you have more space for variation and usually the more busy parts fit in better in 3/4 for that open sound.

I've never had a nitch for counting, I just feel it - which I know is horrible advice but just try to feel the 1 and 3's and backbeats.

Leading fills are good for 3/4 as in something such as a "an" amount of time where you can get a double in or some phrasing of three's or triplets.
