Its amazing. I have a CS on it. Its tuned about Medium- High and its my favorite snare. I have a Supraphonic that i need to fix. I think I need a new strainer.

Lud, I'm guessing those are Rydeens, correct?

I'm getting a set of Rydeens I plan to re-finish. I think it's the same color wrap on there now that you have. I plan on stripping the wraps, scraping the glue n sh.t off the shells, sanding the burs, seal the inside of the shells, fine-sand the exterior of the shell and hit it with some stain. Get some upgraded hardware and some new heads.

Hopefully going to make a fun summer project. And I'll have another kit when I'm done with it to use at home, since my Grestch set's down my studio.

Yeah man. They sound great with Coated ambs. I bought the Jazz Kit with the 18 kick. It is definatly one of the best sounding kicks I've heard. And this isnt even my main kit. Yamaha makes some of the best drums in the market today. They put so much effort and thought into all of their drums, even the entry levels. I highly recommend these to ANYONE.
