It really sucks to not be able to get enough sustain without making your guitar sound like you put it through a washing machine.
Get one. They're really, really nice. I mean, it's not like you're going to get a tube-amp style expressive tone out of it, but the tones are really great regardless. Check out my cover of Doom's "Sign of Evil" for a really good tone demonstration.

The one Doom level, you know?

That one... right?

If so, Ive already heard it. Great sound, great playing.

Also the idea of custom drum loops/background tracks is really appealing.

Your average higher end Les Paul's generally have BurstBucker Pro pickups, which can be found here.

For an arrange of Gibson pickups, look here.

www.Musciansfriend.com is really your friend.

Well, while browsing Lemon's video archive on youtube, my mother refused to believe he was really playing. In the process of trying to prove that Cursed can really play, I stumbled across an old video of mine.

So I present, my sh.tty solo loosly based on "Eruption"

Don't flame me to hard...

Ok...I saw this earlier and felt a dire need to post in it, but I was busy at the time. Anyway, I have been playing the guitar for nearly 8 years, I have been in 3 bands, and I also know how to play bass, drums, trumpet, tuba, trombone, saxophone, and piano. I have only taken one formal guitar class but I had already learned everything it had to teach before I even started (schedule conflict.) Right now I don't have much to play on...just my cousin's two acoustic guitars of unknown brands, and a Fender Frontman 15 to play through. I do have a Squier Affinity strat, but it is currently out of commission, as I am still painting it. Anyway, I am very knowledgeable about music in general, but specifically how to go about actually learning an instrument. So if anyone in this thread needs any advice on WHAT to learn first, just let me know and I'll hit you up on AIM. I guess that's about all I have to say for now, since I don't really have alot of time before I go out, so I'll just leave you guys with that...
