Slumdog Millionaire: A∞

Just got back from seeing this in theaters, I have to say it is my favorite film of 2008. Slumdog is one of those rare movies that come around once every few years. If you liked City of God this movie does it just as well and as moving. I don't think many of you can see it because it is a very limited released film and it was only playing in my city and in San Fransisco in the whole Bay Area. I was happy that the theater was packed to the brim and there were absolutely no empty seats. Wonderful movie that everyone should see in theaters or at least on DVD when it is released.

Where in the world was I when this amazing movie was released? One of the best movies of 2007. If you haven't seen it, watch it. If you have seen it, congratulations, you f..kin' rock.

The Devil Wears Prada: B

Meryl Streep completely owned the movie. Without her, the movie would have been a failure.

I assume you're talking about the one with Robert Downy Jr. That movie was really good, I was surprised. I didn't really know anything about it when me and my brother went to see it in theaters.

The Bridge: B

I'm halfway through Death Sentence, I can't really decide if it's 'good' or not. It felt exploitative, like a B-movie in theme and subject matter... It's also really, really, brutally violent, disturbingly ruthless...not the kind of movie you watch and feel good about yourself after watching it (though I haven't seen the other half yet (I have it paused for whenever I can watch it again), I've pretty much concluded this already). I really like Kevin Bacon, imo he's extremely underrated as an actor, but the movie itself...

We'll see.

Also I really liked The Bridge, the most shocking scenes is when this old guy is just talking on his cell phone and he looks like he is just enjoying the bridge. Then out of no where he shoves his phone in his pocket and in 2 seconds he has jumped off the bridge. Then there was the death metal guy who jumped then the next day got a job offer to be a manager at GameStop. I also think it's a little f..ked up that they just watched people jump, you could say that they would probably try again but there was probably an off chance they could have gotten helped.

Definitely bump Catch Me If You Can up to must see. DiCaprio is awesome, as always. Great movie.

Death Sentence was kind of a sh.tty movie, but it was entertaining.
