But it's Paul Thomas Anderson. He has made plenty of above-average movies.

True, but Adam Sandler's presence pisses me off almost as much as Nicholas Cage's.

This movie was really trippy at first for me. I had no idea what was going on and I had no idea what some of the scenes were for. Though, once Adam Sandler's love interest in the movie walks in, that's when things get good. I didn't notice that was by P.T.A until a while after I watched it, and when I did, I had no idea what I was getting into. I know there was something about the harmonium that I really missed out on.

Nicholas Cage was decent in Matchstick Men in my opinion. I like Adam Sandler.

Nickolas Cage is loads better than Adam Sandler.

At least he can front as a semi decent actor.

Sandler's 1 dimensional comedy stopped being funny awhile ago.

Funny Games. I watched it. sh.t was ridiculously sadistic to the point I kind of felt like an asshole when I finished watching it. Great acting by all, though. Great movie. Scenes lingered on to a point that I was getting annoyed, but it was part of the technique and I realize this, whatev. Above average. Great satire-thriller-thing.

Thought I'd pop in to say I am officially downloading my first movie! Oldboy. Until that's done, Next up: Fight Club. Looking forward to both.

Also, I believe I have assembled actually a half decent top 10 personal favorite movies of all time, instead of just listing Superbad and Borat 9 times with Crash on top.

10. The Truman Show
9. Million Dollar Baby
8. No Country For Old Men
7. The Departed
6. Crash
5. A Beautiful Mind
4. American Beauty
3. Donnie Darko

2. The Shawshank Redemption
1. Magnolia

2 and 1 are REALLY close.

I've still got a long way to go and some other top films to watch, but this is where I'm at so far. I think I could use another awesome movie to knock off The Truman Show, then I think I'd have a really solid list, personally.

Oldboy is chuggin' along pretty well, I hope all goes smooth and I review it within the next couple days along with Fight Club. Then after that, I'll look into The Godfather.

So you haven't actually seen Fight Club? I was assuming that you were just mentioning a daily watching of the movie (which is more normal than never seeing it). I am in shock. Anyways, Fight Club WILL knock off Truman show. Hell, it'll knock off million dollar baby too (its so good that it'll be in two spots).
