| | Garden State: A WOW! I did not expect much from this movie, but it turns out to be amazing! And you know what's the most surprising part? Zach Braff wrote, played in, and directed this film. Some guy from a sh.tty show wrote, played in, and directed an amazing movie like this. It just makes me take a step back and re-evaluate the guy because, apparently, he has talent. The movie, at first, didn't really catch my attention. I was half into it, half bored, but when Natalie Portman decided to grace the screen, that's when the movie really starts to take off. Natalie Portman, in my eyes, is the best female actress today and this movie really proves it. She played a character I couldn't help falling in love with and her character is what had me paying attention to the movie. She is just amazing. The story, I thought, was wonderful and I really liked the message behind the whole thing. If you want to see a good f..king movie, watch this. Definitely worth the time. Oh, and remember, Natalie Portman is mine! =) Next movie: Oldboy

| | I know Marked has seen it, but I watched Lions for Lambs a bit ago and have to recommend this movie to everyone. It's a nice political movie that really makes you think. Also "Recount" (the HBO movie with Kevin Spacey) is fantastic and makes me sigh because if I was old enough to understand the election back then (I was 13, I think and didn't care enough), I would've been pissed at the stupid sh.t that happened. The movie also makes me want to punch Katherine Harris in the face. Good movie.

| | Well, I decided to watch Twelve Monkeys before Oldboy because the opportunity was presented to me so......yeah. Twelve Monkeys: B+ When the movie began, it just gave off the feeling that it was going to be one confusing trip and that is exactly what it was. Scott was right. You need to watch this film twice to fully get it, but unfortunately, I am rating the movie based off the first time. Good thing is I thought it was a good movie. The whole movie was pretty confusing, but I think I got the gist of the whole thing. I didn't really think the ending was shocking or any better than Saw, but it was still pretty good. Overall, the movie rocked. If it wasn't so confusing, it might have gotten a kick up to an "A-", but it was, so damn! =) I just want to end this by saying that Brad Pitt gave his best performance in this movie so when you see it, watch him carefully. He doesn't miss a step. Next movie: Oldboy

There Will Be Blood -- B+ It was pretty good. There were some moments in the middle where I sort of zoned out a bit, and didn't feel completely into the plot as well as I should have been, but for the most part I did enjoy it. The movie itself did have some memorable moments though. Next up, finishing off the Paul Thomas Anderson films, with Boogie Nights.
