i have a dazzle 170 aka dazzle video creator platinum i wanna know how to get the best possible quality with studio 10 if any1 can help me please let me know

I have great quality but I have a few questions. I saw MLG PenguinBoy's tut on best quality with a dazzle 90, and i'm getting great quality, but I want to know is it supposed to take 1.5-2 hours to render an approx. 12-15 min. recording (around 1gb) and also, when I compress (render) my 1gb file, it still is huge, at 200-250gb, even just for gameplays. I was wondering if this is correct or if someone could tell me a way to get much smaller file size while sacrificing little or no quality.
