Ok so I found some new settings and tweaked a bit and the outcome was outstanding! You guys wanted a tut so here it is:

Its only 4 steps but make sure you complete them right else it won't work:

Step 1: Capture in Pinnacle with those settings:


Leave the bars for brightness...sharpness etc. at default


Step 2: Render your captured clip to .avi

Now you want to save your movie without losing valuable quality. How to do this: Click at Make movie at the top of your screen and than click at AVI and than click at settings....a window will pop up and apply those settings:



Step 3: Adding Sharpness effect to your captured clip

Open up vegas and import your .avi movie you just rendered. Now go to Video FX and apply the Sharpen effect. Here are the settings:

Sharpness = 0,850

NOTE: You have to screw around a bit with this...maybe 0,850 is to much for you or to less. Just screw around with this until you have got the perfect amount which was 0,850 for me.

+ This effect will only sharpen your video if you have the newest version of vegas 6 which is Vegas 6.0d or just go with Vegas 7

This step made your quality look even better than it was! But lets continu

Step 4: Converting video to .wmv in Sony Vegas

Ok so now you've applied the Sharpness effect its time to render it to .wmv because its the best type to render to.

How to do this:

At the top left of your screen click at File ==> Render as...

A new window will open. Now apply those settings:

Type = Windows Media Video 9
Template = 3 Mbps Video

Now click at custom and under the tap Video apply those settings:
Change the Averate Bitrate to 2 M instead of 3 M



If you did everything alright you will have rape quality...here are some examples of my quality:

Lockout_Quality (streamable)

and

Midship_Quality (streamable)

or

Sanctuary_Quality (streamable)

wait i have studio 10, any clue on how to do it on there? I'm lost at step 2, it doesn't give me the options for the avi, or maybe it's just the different language?

1st: pinnacle 10 sucks lol I tried it and it sux...so get back to pinnacle 9
2nd: yeah you can render to .avi in pinnacle 10 its not the language because you can just watch where all those settings himself are just in english lol
