Since it took me so long to do everything I am making a foolproof tutorial with pictures for every step, hopefully someone can sticky this.

ATI Media Center Steps:

1. Open the ATI TV

2. Click Settings

3. Click the Personal Video Recorder tab

4. Click Map Preset

5. Click Create New

6. Name Where I Have H2F Tutorial Montage

7. Format: MPEG-2
Standard: NTSC (525)
Resolution: 720 x 480
De-interlacing Options: De-interlaced
Leave Inverse 3:2 Pulldown and Record Cropped Video unchecked
Audio Format: 44.100 KHz, 16 Bit, Stereo

8. Number of P Frames in Group: 4
Number of B Frames in Subgroup: 2
Leave Closed Group of Pictures (GOP) unchecked

9. Check Variable Bit Rate
Max Bit Rate: 10.00 M Bit/Second
Target Bit Rate: 8.00 M Bit/Second
Motion Estimation Quality: 100
Bit Rate: 224 K Bit/Second

10. Videosoap Type: Medium

11. Leave everything else as defaults and just record whatever you want.

Downloading Sony Vegas 6.0 Steps

1. You will now need to download the trial version of Sony Vegas 6.0 here
2. To unlock Vegas a crack is needed that this site does not permit the link to, Instant Message me at dc0511 and I will send you the crack
3. Once Vegas is cracked you will have to try and open one of your recorded MPEG-2 files, but it will say you need to download a codec
4. You will now need another crack for the codec so IM me at H2F Pan1c for that crack as well
5. On Vegas try to register for the codec and get the error message that shows your computer ID
6. Copy that ID into the crack and it will generate the new serial for you
7. Paste that serial into the Vegas registration
8. You will now be able to open MPEG-2 files in Vegas

Separating Clips In Vegas:
1. Open your MPEG-2
2. Go to the point in the clip where you want it to start and press S, this will split the clip.

3. Delete the video before your starting point.

4. Go to the end of the clip you want and press S again, then delete all of the footage after that point.

5. Click File>Render As
6. Save as Type: Windows Media Video

7. Template: Choose 3Mbps Video

8. Look right and click Custom.
9. Click video and use the following settings:

Now you have a high quality, high compression, low file size .wmv file.

Anything in appreciation for this tutorial such as a 2 month or something would be greatly appreciated, and mods can you please sticky this and save everyone from the 5 hour searching for answers as I had to do.
