I'm having this sort of problem too, except mine actually brings up an error message... but when i'm editing my montage, it will play all the way to this certain section of clips it will freeze and my audio will keep playing.

What I did was just take my clips out and re-insert them. It worked, but now I have the same problem on a different tage and that solution won't work.

Hope ya figure it out.

Don't put your render settings on default template.

Use 3 or 5 mbps.

I would later convert them to 720p HD and replace the files, blah blah blah. The clips are fine if you play them outside of Vegas, but this is what happens when I put a clip IN Vegas.

It laggs in Vegas, but once you save it it don't lagg. Trust me. TRUST ME. TRUST ME!!!!
