I'm looking into getting a new HD capture card(have a Dazzle 150 right now, but I would like to play in HD while recording). I've been looking around for some options, but haven't really come to one yet. I've seen quite a few people with http://www.myhava.com/product_hava_platinum_hd.html over at GB, and most say it's pretty decent. Was wondering on your opinions on what to get and why(not to expensive, not looking to spend a sh.tload on this, just want something that I can still play HD with, and have decent quality).

PC Specs if needed:

2GB Ram
AMD 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20GHz
Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE(Pretty garbage, hoping to upgrade soon)
300GB HD

Thanks for the input in advance

Hauppage HD PVR I believe. Your computer should handle it fine, but I would have more harddrive space (300GB just isnt enough for me... Not even 600GB is enough for me).

I had the hava wireless HD.. it does NOT record HD, which is what you would think. the quality was pretty nice, but it stuttered a lot if I was recording something else. here's a quality test.

Do you have a link for that? And I have a 120GB external HD I was planning on using for recording, i'm not planning on keeping raw footage, just editing out most things right away.

And whoever has the hava, are you sure it does NOT record in HD? The reason I was looking into buying it is so that I CAN record in HD.

it doesn't, trust me. I had it for two weeks and while the SD quality was nice, there was no HD. the wireless is nice, but it's just not worth it as if you want to use it wireless, you have to install it from a WIRELESS computer.

i know, their website is so misleading
