I'm recapturing all my clips in virtual dub but i can't seem to get ati tv wonder pro to work on it. I'm not sure if i put in my capture card wrong since i haven't put it in in over a year. For the people that have it, i hooked it down firmly inside my comp with the 2 things sticking out along with the purple input thing. Then i took the purple wire and stick it in the purple input thing. I plugged the splitter or whatever its called into 1 of the things that sticking out (even though last time i captured i don't think i needed that). I plugged the xbox wires that are yellow, white, and red into the end of the purple wire where the small box thing is. I try to go into virtual dub but whenever i capture avi and try to go to devices or video source nothing comes up.

Btw guys, I was planning on capturing my h3 theater files as i was playing on my comp.

Also, the last time i captured i didn't capture on virtual dub.

Can anyone put together the mindless information i've given them and gimme an answer why it won't work?

P.S: sorry for all the dumb language like saying "things".

Edit: Also, i never installed the cd on this computer. Do i need it to capture on any program because i thought it was just to capture on the software ati provides for you when you install the cd

You may need to install drivers from the CD, try running the CD and installing all the stuff on there.

After that, try opening Virtual Dub then going to File>Capture AVI. Then go to Video>Video Source>Video Composite (Though I prefer S-Video if you have it). Then it should come up.

Thing is i lost the cd. Hopefully i'll still be able to dl the drivers somewhere else?

Also, the thing is i can't see the video composite setting. When i put my mouse over video source something gray comes up (cant remember the exact name).

Odd, yeah just get the exact name of your capture card and search for the drivers. On the ati site, or other sites.

I don't remember the exact name of my capture card since i dont have the box or the cd anymore. I dled all the drivers that i think would be it. I'm almost positive that it's "ATi TV Wonder Pro" but i'm not sure if theres a 650 at the end of it. But anyways, yeah i dled all the drivers for it. Theres now an option in virtual dub when i click capture avi and i go to device settings. It says "ATi AVStream Analog Capture (DirectShow). I clicked that and went to video and went on to video source. I clicked video composite and no picture came up. I also tried video svideo. Nothing came up still. I'm outta ideas and am getting frustrated.

Edit: If i put my video source to video composite and plug the green xbox 360 wire where the yellow wire input is i see 2 gray screens of halo 3 game running. Hope this helps lol

Edit 2: WOOT. The problem was my 360 was on the hd tv setting roflmao. It's all good now. No sound though, hopefully a tut can fix that xD
