I'm trying to use virtual dub but I get an error message when i try to open a video file that says:

"Couldn't locate decompressor for format Mp42 (microsoft high-speed mpeg-4 v2).

Virtual Dub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress
video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable".

Where do i get this microsoft high-speed mpeg-4 v2 codec? Or do i need something else? help pls

edit: got it fixed after an hour and a half of not no what i was doing and possibily ruining my computer. but that's okay
