To bad I lost my installation disks for my cap program.

Correct me if I'm wrong, using a program like pinnacle capturing, vdub will not work with it right?

I cannot for the life of me get SynthDub to install correctly. It either tells me that it could not install and to restart my computer and try again or I get an error message that says component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Is anyone else having this problem? If so how did you fix it?

Everything up until I had to open SynthDub seemed to be working great though.

So after trying everything I could think of to get Synthdub to work I gave up (everything up until that point worked fine). Luckily I found low strife's thread for de-interlacing and compressing. So using a combination of both threads I was able to capture my first clip ever.

SynthDub is the same exact thing as low strife's tutorial, it's just easier to use and you can set it to do a handful of clips automatically instead of doing each individual one by itself.

This is a great package, the only bad thing about vdub is for me ten seconds is like 100 megabytes and that is way too big for me to use. Thanks though.
