Wouldn't it be possible to play on your monitor using a VGA port then using a screen capture device a'la CS:Source just capture all the footage, just a random shot in the dark lol.

i play on a vga monitor and i dont belive a screen capture program would work because how will the computer recognize the video coming from the seperate machine..(xbox) idk though

It's been asked time and time again, and no it won't work.

It's not a monitor capture program, the program (like Fraps) records the data that the video card outputs before it ever gets to the monitor.

Your monitor has nothing to do with any recording process.

I've played on mine for a long time now (basically all of 2008), and I have had NO problems so far.

The only problem would be finding speakers that have hookups for the audio cables, though usually a $5 adapter from Radio Shack can fix that.

its just like playing on a tv ,however make sure you have a monitor thats native res is one of the outputs
im playing on a 22in 1680x1050 monitor and the only res that gets close is 1360x768

Weird, I tried it on my main computer downstairs with a 1680x1050 monitor and it worked fine for me...

My monitor upstairs goes at 1280x1024 so...

oh no it works just fine ,its just the picture looks a bit funny since its not at native resolution
