Is there any way that you can fade the volume of an audio track down to a certain level, and not all the way down? I don't like how I have it now, where all of a sudden the music is just quieter. I want a nice fade into the new level.

Can anybody help me?

You could try having 2 audio tracks and then changing the db's on each and then fade the one out on the bottom and fade in the one of the top.

That may work, but I was hoping for a setting along the lines of: Set min DB level or something like that. I'll give it a try though, and let you know.

ok well you can go to the part you want to fade, and drag it down, or you can drag to the left and down, its kinda hard to tell but i can take a screen shot if you want.

No, he wants to set the volume to a specific level. Like instead of fading off, it fades to like -db 15 or something like that, so it's still on, but only faintly. I'll search for it right now, I too have been wondering how to do this. Crest probably knows. Wait til he sees this thread.

The only way to do this in Vegas is to cut the audio where you want it to fade('S'), then drag the end of the each clip into each other, creating a fade, then adjust the Gain on the 2nd cut to your desired level.

That's how I do it in all my videos and podcast. I haven't found a better way.

Alright well I'll try that out, and see how it sounds. Thanks Crest.
