v1.5 up for download

Homestar's Batch Deinterlacer v1.5 (build 89)

[Changelog]
-full support for all codecs and filters
-options for customizing your .avs scripts
-adds a suffix to files with the same name to avoid them from being overwritten
-numerous bug fixes
-added catches to stop it from crashing so often

[How to work it]
Version 1.5 utilizes VirtualDub differently than previous versions. Before using the deinterlacer, you must open VirtualDub and set the compression settings you wish to use. You can also add any filters you wish to. Once you have chosen your preferred VirtualDub's settings, go to File > Save processing settings. Give the file a name and save it somewhere. Once you select the .vcf settings file, VirtualDub.exe, and msu_fieldshiftfixer.dll in the options menu of the Batch Deinterlacer, you are ready to start deinterlacing your clips. That part should be pretty self explanatory.

If you guys find any bugs, feel free to post them or pm me, and I'll try and fix them ASAP.

  1. Delete the folder Homestar's Batch Deinterlacer v1.5, do NOT just re-unRAR it and overwrite the previous files, this will not fix the problem!
  2. Redownload Homestar's Batch Deinterlacer v1.5.rar
  3. UnRAR Homestar's Batch Deinterlacer v1.5.rar
  4. Open VirtualDub
  5. Pick the settings you want (compression, filters)
  6. Go to File > Save process settings...
  7. Save it in the VirtualDub folder as settings.vcf
  8. Open the folder Homestar's Batch Deinterlacer v1.5
  9. Open deinterlacer.exe
  10. Set the path to VirtualDub.exe, msu_fieldshiftfixer.dll, and settings.vcf
  11. Click Save
If you ever want to change the settings in VirtualDub, remember to save over the settings.vcf file.
-thanks Ryu Hitokiri

Requirements:
AVISynth 2.5.7
msu_fieldshiftfixer.dll (either version should work)
VirtualDub (Versions 1.7.7+)

Ha, thanks.

There does seem to be any error that occurs when you try add files to the list more than once. I'm working on it right now though and should have a fixed version up soon.

Wow, thank you. This came about a four days too late for me though. Just made my tage and deinterlaced all my clips individually. *Sigh* O well. Thanks for the awesome program.

Oh my god, I love you.

Too bad I compress all my clips in x264 (5mBps) when I de-interlace them, though a added compression thing would be so helpful, so that I don't have to do it to every single clip.

1. Thanks.

2. What do you mean beat Crest to the post?

3. Fixed the bug. New version up for dl. Still no compression. Give me a day.

I actually can't believe I've already finished this program. I didn't even think of the idea until yesterday around 2pm.
