Crtl+Alt+Delete > Processes > Right Click vegas.exe > Set Priority > High

Close everything, end all unecessary processes, and see if it still gives you the error when you render.

What he said. If you need to just have vegas running when rendering. Or if you want to plan for the long run buy some more/new ram.

you can also reset your computer to reset your ram

if you really need to you can render invdividual 4 minute segments into avis then combine them and render again as a whole

of course there will be quality loss

Increase your virtual memory (like crest said) to 4GB. This helps alot; I have 4GB spread out over 4 drives, and it is VERY fast.

Save the project, and reboot your computer. Before you open up any other programs, render out the video. You should have enough RAM then.

well if you have XP do this:

1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
3.On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4.On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
5.Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change.
6.Under Paging file size for selected drive, click to Custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you would like to reserve for Virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size.
7.Click Set
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
Special Note: You should choose the same amount for the initial size and maximum size. This will Stop your CPU from constantly changing the paging file.

set it to what crest said and you should be fine
