Ok, so this is my first time capturing and I followed this tutorial but I still have really bad quality. I think my problem is that I cannot enable hardware acceleration because my graphics card is really bad. Another thing is that I'm not using S-video yet. I don't drop any frames but its just terrible quality. Also, where do the clips go once they are captured?

edit: nvm I found the clips but the quality is just terrible. I know I should get s-video but that might not be my only problem.

edit: bah, nvm. It just looked really bad in Studio 10. When I watched it in VLC it was a lot better. Quality still isn't where I'd like it but I guess I can get S-video.

I can't believe i am only finding this thread now.

I tried sooooooooooooooo many things to get my quality good with my 170c, and eventually gave up and made my first h3 tage ..

Now i have used these steps and have great quality .. I love you

You can render in Vegas, but I recommend Xilisoft. It's free and easy.

Well I don't think you're talking to me in that post but I'll post mine anyway. I used some different settings than yours though. It was way too bright for me for some reason when I used your settings.
