His third montage made him because it was f.cking amazing with new sticks and sh.t that people didn't try. No launch nades either. That was probably the freshest montage ever. This is why Reid wins contests. Now go post at MLGpro. |
Reid wins contests because he's innovative. All you had to say was that. However, it is undeniable that popularity plays a huge role in the montage contest. Relatively unknown editors, and players stand no chance against the big names of H3F. It was a huge disappointment seeing Smack's 1st by AP get knocked out first round considering it was top 5 material, but that's how it works here at H3F. Here's an example, suppose you've got two tages, both with the same entertainment value, and you had to pick one. Logically, the tages would tie. Now, same scenario only one is unknown, and the other is Phurion. Both have the same entertainment value, but guess who will win? Phurion...why? Because he's known. The idea is that people are more likely to vote for someone they've heard of, than someone they haven't when given the option. If you're going to reply with "But a lot of things can determine the winner of a montage contest, music, creativity, gameplay..." or something along these lines please don't post.
