I think you might have the wrong video format. Go to Video, and then Capture Pin. If you are american, the video standard should do NTSC_M(or NTSC.)

Thanks for the advice, it fixed the wierd coloring problem, however now something else is wrong with the capture.

When I capture, even before I convert it into WMV with Xilisoft the footage is laggy. Any advice

If the footage is laggy, that is a result of your computer not being capable of smoothly playing it.

I dont think my computer is the problem, I have an alienware, but thanks anyways. Ill go try and fix it on my own.

i am in desperate need of help with my ati tv wonder pro.
this is my set up, hardware wise
since my TV is older, and without AV, i have an RF splitter, there is a side with one plug in that reads "input" and that is where i plug in my xbox RF adapter, then in the two sided part of the splitter i have an RF short cable going to the television and an RF long cable going into the back of my card, and its getting frusterating because ATI catalyst media center has an annoying AND confusing interface, and on top of this, i dont have a clue on how to get it to capture with virtualdub, can someone help me or at least tell me that doing it this way won't work?

okay i ditched the whole RF thing and my neighbor let me have his old tv and the xbox works with av and everything, however in the back there is only yellow and white, no red. will this be a problem?

No, you will just have no stereo audio.
