When you switch it to TV or Standard, the Xbox 360 is using Standard TV Output.
Because Halo 2 was made on the original Xbox, it was made with the highest definition being 480p which did not require component video. Therefore, you do not see a loss of detail in the graphics. However, because you are used to playing Rainbow Six: Vegas on a High Defition TV with component video, you see the loss of detail when you use standard composite video (Yellow cable). |
You are correct on all accounts. Also when I was playing RB6 I didn't have the standard yellow plugged in I was playing on the component channel on my TV using the component plugs. I think that is what caused the poor quality. I have since bought a differnet cable(the joytech one), and am capturing with the s-video, and plugged the yellow back in my tv. I now switch to an av channel to play.
I'm just very new to all this stuff, and didn't know. I did appreciate your tutorial though it has helped me alot, and is actually the tut that made me decide to go ahead and purchase a cap card.
