Yes but you won't be able to play on your TV.

I don't know why everybody freaks out about capturing on a 360. It's the same as capturing on a regular Xbox.

Most probably know this already, but I didn't, and had to learn by doing it. To record with the yellow cable with the advanced pack you have to switch it to tv instead of HD. This made RB6:Vegas look like doodoo on my tv. Halo looked fine though.

OK I'm a bit confused. I don't think they make Advanced AV Packs for the Xbox 360. Do you mean the Xbox 360 AV Cable? I think you do. The reason is, when the switch is on HD, the Xbox 360 is using the Component (High Definition) Output for High Definition games. When you switch it to TV or Standard, the Xbox 360 is using Standard TV Output.

Because Halo 2 was made on the original Xbox, it was made with the highest definition being 480p which did not require component video. Therefore, you do not see a loss of detail in the graphics. However, because you are used to playing Rainbow Six: Vegas on a High Defition TV with component video, you see the loss of detail when you use standard composite video (Yellow cable).
