| Okay so i have a mac. and have been eager to start capturing some video but i ran into a huge roadblock. so the info is as this.
i have a...
Canopus ADVC110 mac capture card
The way that is connected is... i have standard microsoft HD/analog cables, i have the HD cables hooked up to the back of the television and i have the audio cables being split into to paths. One path enters the tv and the second enters the capture card. The last connection is the yellow video cable which is connected directly to the capture card. the reason why i have it set-up this way is so i can play in HD and capture in SD.
My mac's specs are....
Processor 2 x 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 8 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Okay so my problem is.... the only way my capture card can read and video feed is if i have the switch on the microsoft cable set to TV. i want to find a way to bypass this so that i can play in HD and capture in SD and not play and capture in just SD.
This setup used to work in the past with my old pc and a dvc90. this is really frustating so if anyone can help me by giving me tips, recommending a better capture card, naming a few video capture programs(i'm using quicktime to record) that will work better, anything would be helpful at this point. All i want to do is get to capturing.
My GT is I ReVeReD I and if you can help PM me and i wil give you my email.
