I love the guide. Reminds me of the one Rippon made ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh soo long ago.

The only thing im missing is a computer with a 2.0 USB. Thats the only thing thats missing.

Im thinking about getting one professionally installed, but the guys said they would do a maintenance check and everything, but that would cost more then the f..kn port!

$25-40 = (2-4) 2.0USB Port
$30-60 = Maintenance Checkup w/ Installation of Port

f..k that! Im just gonna get a brand new computer sooner or later.

They are installed just like an ATI TV Wonder Pro. Just make sure you have an open PCI slot and buy PCI USB 2.0 card like this one.

YAY! I looked through it all again and i think i will be capturing and doing everything near October or end of November.

Im moving to Wisconsin and for my 16th birthday im going to be sending in like 20 applications trying to get a job. I already have about 4-5 game places that i know i want to work at. So by November i'll have enough money to buy a nice little laptop and the extra $30 for all the small Connectors and wires mentioned on teh list. i already have a DazzleDVDRecorder and a Dazzle90 so this should be fun.

So correct me if im wrong but...

Once Halo 3 comes out and you can save your games, you can technically cut out the s-video and just run the video(yellow) and audio(red/white) composite cables from your 360 to the capture card when you want to record, since you won't have to be playing at the same time?

Like you can just go to the screen where you watch your videos, then switch over the composites to the capture card, hit A or whatever, then start recording on the computer?

Well honestly its probably going to be better to record in s-video and play in composite. That way you get better quality. Personally what im going to do when i get my Elite 360. Im going to play with HDMI on my AMAZING new LCD HDTV. And im going to save every game i play. Then when i want to record clips, i will plug in the s-video cable and hook it up and just record like normal from there. So i can play in HD and then record in SD.

Yes, but you don't see stuff like "Press RB to pickup [Battle Rifle]" and you don't hear voices". Other than that, it would work, but only for Halo 3 since you can save your games.

SchaF you forgot very one important detail. You are playing in HD, then recording in standard, you are not doing both simultaneously, therefore, you fail epically.

No dude, your playing on your TV in HD correct, but the game save application in H3 wont be saving it as Hd or SD, its jsut a game save file. Then ill hook up the s-video part and when you play back the game save, it will be outout as SD. The game save file will not be HD or SD, its just a file.
