- Beatdown system (damage and range are ok): It's the main problem of the game. The one who did the best moves and out-skilled his opponent(s) should be rewarded for that and get the kill(s). What happens instead is that... He dies... Same problem with shotgun/mauler/etc, even if it's not the same system I guess.

The rest is not in order, what comes to my mind:

- Shotgun range should be decreased. Come on it's not a shotgun, it's a sniper... And shotty/sniper is so gay. It should be like in halo 2 or with a BR second weapon (it used to be played like this by pros in halo 2 at a certain period).

- Maulers... Everything is done in this game so that the noobs think they are so pro. Camping a corner or running straight at a guy and shooting insanely (why strafe? It works !), wow that takes so much skill. Fix them (range or damage) or remove them.

- Team Hardcore ! And a REAL ONE please.

- BR is ok, don't change it. It's not Halo 2 anymore guys. Learn how to aim.

- Spawns in your back. It's annoying.

- Sword is totally f..ked up.

- AR is a bit too powerful in midrange, almost everybody agrees on that.

- Lone wolves. It looks unranked with all those sword/KOTH/oddball games...

- I'd appreciate if some guys died when they get 3 sniper bullets in their head.

- Vehicles: when you stick one, it should just explode. Motherf..king banshee.

- I'm fed up with the machine gun turret. Another noob thing.

- Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggg !!!

- And so on. This game could be great with some fixes.

im fine with beatdowns.
i dont really have a problem with them.

but theres a point where you can get "outbeatdown" when you and the other person have similar sheilds.

say if you shoot them with 30 bullets of an AR, then they shoot you with 31 bullets.
then you beat each other down at the same time.

you will leave them with no shields, but they will kill you.

its not really a big deal tho, since i use BR more than AR

does anyone understand the melee system, i agree too powerful with ball/flag but not otherwise, what i dotn like about it is, the person with the most shield wins regardless of whether he hits the melee button first or not

BR has SPREAD not less power, if they tone the spread down it would be better putting more emphasis on being accurate.

I personally dont like equipment i think it ruins the flow of the game so i dont play with it on, but thats just me

Mauler speed and strength. Also, they should make its rate of fire slower.

I think it is a big deal. There are lots of fights finishing with a melee, and I'm fed up with dying while I should have won the fight. With the current system, most of the time it's the one who saw the other one first who wins, not the one who did the clever moves. And it's not true that it happens only when you beat down at the same time. I've been killed a thousand times by a melee given AFTER mine. That is bullsh.t. And it's the same with the shotgun...

I forgot one thing I would like to see in an hypothetic update: an anti-camper system. For instance if a guy stays still for like more than 10 seconds, there should be a big flashy pink sign appearing on the radar. Make this and I can tell you that some noobs would lose their lvl 50.

i want to see some fire grenades, c'mon those things are fun they should be put into default maps at least 2 or 3 of the maps. take out the flamethrower and throw down some fire grenades theres a fun time.

I would like to start off by saying that although i disagree with many parts of Halo 3, it is still a fun game to play. It may not be up to Halo 2's standards YET, but you have to remember it came out just a couple months ago. It was also created to attract a larger audience full of 'noobs': bungie and microsoft wanted everyone of all skills to enjoy this game when it came out. This leaves some problems for the more serious gamers and sometimes everyone. Where to start...

1. The assault rifle should be given less range and power, it is too good to start with.
2. Melee attacks should not be based on how much shield you have, and are too powerful all in all. Go back to the halo 2 melee, minus the BxB and BxR. (I wouldn't mind button glitches personally but many others would.)
3. Ranked Swords? - The sword should be 1 shot kill in a lunge, it leaves people getting screwed over and people getting many free double kills with grenades while two others and dueling. Also, im not sure why but i can never kill someone very close up with the melee(not lunge). I do not know if it is connection,(mine is terrible), but it is very annoying.
4. Gravity hammer should not be in any playlist at all, only for custom games.
5. Put the Fuel Rod Cannon in matchmaking finally!
6. Grenades need more range, not necessarily more damage.
7. Epitaph is based solely on power weapons, I strongly suggest some power taken away from it.
8. Although I love using the ghost, it is very over powerful.
9. Bring back suicide penalty, too many losses in double team from that, and you can delevel if you really want to.
10. The Battle Rifle personally is bad-looking graphically, and it needs a little bit more strength.
11. Put in Team Snipers and ranked BTB already! I know BTB is coming in January, but snipers is why i played halo2. You can leave or remove tactical, but snipers is a must.
12. Snowbound is designed well but is played only underground. Take all shotgun/Maulers off that map and it would play so much better.
13. Don't split up the parties in BTB/Social games, I like playing with my friends, not randoms.
14. Sandtrap is not fun at all. It may be the biggest map ever, but it is seriously no fun to just have warthog fights, chopper, banshee, and one guy with a laser dropping 50 kills.
15. Take the mauler out of the game please, it ruins all up close battles. Everyone is so set on crouching with this gun and then beating you down with it. it is an excuse to hide and it ruins the play of the game(and my Kill/Death Ratio) =[.
