What if you want to change it from open to moderate? All my friends NATs are on moderate and mine is on open. every time i try to connect it wont work. I have been asking different people and no one can give me an answer.

Didnt work, i have a WRT54G Linksys and ive done everything and even Purych tryed to help me.

when it asks for the username and password. i used the ones on the bottom of the router. admin and password. i type it in and hit enter, but nothing happens

I DIDNT WORK!!!! i went into my router settings to the dmz page and when i went to type in that ip adress listed, there was alrdy 10.0.0 that was permanant and then the last 3 numbers were the only ones i could change. everything else was permanent. so i just typed the whole ip adress listed in there then did all the other stuff with my xbox and it said my ip adress failed. i dont no wut else to do i have a Linksys WRT54G if that helps. plz help me i need my NAT open.

everytime you start your xbox you have to take the disc out then close it, take the ethernet out, reset your router and then replug your ethernet in and test connection. it should say open, then put your disc back in and play

Actually all you have to do is put your IP thing to automatic.

No you don't.

If you do that then your DHCP will assign your Xbox a random IP address. So if you DMZ 192.168.1.50, and your DHCP gives your Xbox 192.168.1.3, then it won't have any effect.

I did everything it said but it's still moderate. This is so irritating because it always used to be open but it randomly switched .
