I agree with you for the some of it, like that people should let this go, it can't be taken back that this was released, and that people should be creative with it. The thing I disagree with, is that now no matter what spawn stick/bxz/barrel launch/frag launch ANYTHING you get off a spawn will be assumed off this glitch. People have staged off this glitch, and it really degrades the fun in a spawn stick. The glitch can also be abused in say a Warlock 1v1 at an MLG event. The founder told a select few people about it, thinking they could be trusted. Some of them abused the glitch for montage purposes. I can already tell this glitch will be abused, not because the world will end if someone get's a spawn stick, but that you will see an increase in this in montages. Stagers will be called legit, and legit people with montages will have all their spawn sticks degraded because of this glitch being thrown around.

People are now under the misconception that everyone that knew about this used it to make their montage better. Take a look at the 20 or so people that knew about it, and than look at the people out of those 20 some who made a montage with spawn sticks.

The legit montage makers got screwed over. Of course, the people that don't give a sh.t and tell them to stop "crying" are the ones that are going to abuse this glitch for their own benefit. I understand it's only a glitch for spawns, but how many staged montages do you want to see become successful, and how many legit montages do you want to see be trashed and flamed because people think it's staged? My argument, as well as the majority of this thread's argument is that this glitch will be abused, and overused, to the point where there is no "legit" 1v1 montage now. No matter what, this spawn glitch will be tossed around as a way to explain legit spawn sticks.

2 It degrades the fun and value of a spawn stick
3 It potentially changes 1v1s to where people can calculate a win
4 It will be the root of countless staged montages
5 It will be another subject of accusation when it comes to reviewing a montage that may be legit.

Nobody was abusing this glitch, they just didn't let it get out so other people didn't abuse it. KFoSt was one of the people they trusted, as well as Phurion. Now those two are the people releasing this. Did you notice that Phurion's montage is already out? What about the other big montages coming out that have good spawn sticks. They are going to be seen as staged for the contest because everyone knows about this glitch. It degrades the upcoming montages.

The issue is not that using the glitch is supposed to be kept quiet, because it was NEVER used. The issue is that people now know about the glitch, and it will be used to make good montages and basically stage. It's not even a spawn stick anymore, it's just a stick. If you know that they are going to spawn there, than there is no value, or surprise to it.

The argument that it should be used in a creative way contradicts itself. A spawn stick is creative simply because it is rare the legit way of getting them (guessing). The value in these sticks force the people that didn't earn these legit sticks to do things like barrel jump and spawn stick. There is no work put into it. This isn't to keep people from getting spawn sticks, but to keep people from basically staging. The people like Kraynium, Tweak, Drako, myself, and all the people coming out with 1v1 montages that waited and played alot for those spawn sticks that have the surprising, authentic effect to them now have to get shafted by people doing launch spawn sticks because they are 100% sure the opponent will spawn there. Where's the fun in that? The glitch was never abused, and you've seen the 1v1 montages with spawn sticks. Think about who you would put on that list. Maybe the person using this glitch to belittle the value of upcoming montages? I think so.

My argument, along with many other montage makers is that this glitch has now given people quoted above a chance to make staged montages with these. How long until you get bored of these sticks where people do it with their eyes closed while frag launching their opponent off spawn?

The creativity factor should be done the legit way. This shouldn't have gotten out because now 1v1 montages will be predictable and will contain no "fun" aspect of halo, but a "calculated" aspect of halo.

Sorry for typing so much, I will stop posting now and let people watch the video, but this is just my argument. I'm not objected to people knowing the glitch in time, but right now is not a time (the contest) for people to know. At least when halo 3 is released or the contest is over.
