I recommend you interpolate with x264, it looks better when there is no blending.

Also, you should really fix the color on those videos.

I tried to deinterlace better using this tut Crest >>> Best deinterlacing method
But, I wasn't exactly sure how to interpolate with x264.

Also, I tried to tone down the colors a little, but I am not sure if that helped.

All I did was changed the levels of my footage, because my CC captures a bit dark (Pyro), and sharpened it up a bit in V-dub Mod (16 Sharpness).

I wish i could critique it Sean, but my mp4s dont work on my computer. Try converting it to wmv then ill critique.

Salt have you downloaded VLC Media Player, if not then DL from here >>> http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ VLC should have the proper codecs in it for you to view .mp4 files. I prefer to compress using x264 because it is just overall better compression to preserve quality compared to WMV, even though it is a 5-6 step process. I think WMV's look like sh*t in general.

Converting it to .wmv would destroy the purpose of using x264.

I'll take that wmv file you had before, I'll run it through AAE, and See if I can bring out a better video from it.

Interpolation is just removing 1 field then resizing back to regular aspect. Your blending was blending eachfield together. It looks too blurry to me. x264 does best with sharp images, so thats why I recommend that.

Oh wow, thanks Crest by doing that I can really see the difference in the color. My original video was just so...blue lol.

Thanks. I put it in that form so you could. See the difference.

All I did in this video was use Color Curves for the color , then used another color curves to tighten the blacks and raise the overall contrast, then used a unsharp mask to get the HUD and ui and stuff to come out alittle better.
