Halo 2 Vista Population

I remember reading several threads about this earlier, and I've been thinking about reinstalling vista just to play halo 2 vista, especially on my new 8800GT 512mb. I was wondering how many people play or is it still around 200 people, and is there any mlg servers?

population is still low and there aren't many MLG servers.

Damn, well ok.. I guess i'll just try to fill my friends list with people who play H2V to play customs.

Question about recording. I'm assuming Fraps is still the way to go. If my monitor resolution is 1280 x 1024 is there any way I can make it 1280 x 720 so I can record at the resolution without making my screen stretch the extra distance but putting black bars at the top and bottom so my screen doesn't look gross while recording?

the population is at an all time high ,which is still very low

but yes more people than ever ,gold isnt needed to create servers/join them now either

as for fraps there should be an option in the nvidia control panel to do something with the screen aspect ratio so that you dont get black bars

Alright sweet, so I could create a silver account just for h2v and have all the rights as a gold user?

Also for nvidia I want the black bars to appear on my screen so my screen doesn't look like sh.t when I try to record 720p. Of course that leads to the next question would the black bars be part of the recording?

Edit: I guess what the wall of text above is really trying to say is with a 1280 x 1024 monitor whats the best way to record 1280 x 720 without the game looking like sh.t while playing!

Alright, I installed Windows Vista + Halo 2 Vista, I'm about to start it up so if anyone wants to play Add, Aurolol... If anyone has any advice on recording with fraps on my 1280 x 1024 screen when I want to record 1280 x 720 please comment.
