I'm thinking about getting this game and I know absolutely nothing about it or how it works so these are going to be very noob questions.

1. Do you have to have Vista to run it? Could I run it on XP?
2. Can you use a controller to play or is it keyboard/mouse? If so, how do you hook up a controller?
3. Do you only play with other H2PC players or is it the rest of XBL?

It is made for Vista, but there are XP hacks/cracks/Whatever out there to make it playable on XP.

Yes you can.
If you don't have any Xbox 360 controllers, you have to buy one.
If you have a wired Xbox 360 controller, just plug it into the USB port of your computer.
If you have a wireless Xbox 360 controller, you either have to buy that Wireless Gaming Receiver for Xbox 360, or buy a new wired controller.

You only play with other H2V players.

Here's a little note to that crack: you can only play campaign on the XP crack. No multiplayer.

I am also thinking about buying it for vista
i have a few questions of my own

How much hard drive does it take up? as in how much memory?
say i go to like paneras or something, can i play it off their wireless signal?
is it worth it? the 30$ i mean.
and is their any changes from the original xbox version?
trully i would only be getting it for the multiplayer, i have been having huge halo cravings but dont have a wired or wireless internet source for my xbox 360, if i got it i would just go to the mall or a close church that has a wireless signal to play it.

Overall, I don't think the game is worth it. There are MUCH better games for $30 bucks. You could pick of Orange box for PC which has TF2 and 4 other single player games that are fully supported by valve.

It takes about 8gb of HDD, It's recommend you have 2gb for the smoothest experience. H2V is incredibly unoptimized and anything under 2gb will be choppy.

You can use a controller, You either need a wired one or a wireless plug in.
