How come on the old archived videos, whenever I try to download them, I am bombarded with ads?

~ We have enabled hotlink protection to protect our files so other sites can't take our links and steal our bandwidth. The drawback of this system is that, it won't work if you have a high security firewall or internet security. Here is your answer:

a. First, Disable firewall & internet security (especially if it's Norton)
b. If that doesn't work, switch to another browser (while firewall is down)
c. you are on public computer or college campus where firewalls are built in and can't be disabled. In this case, there's nothing we can do.

There is awesome montage/gameplay hosted somewhere, can you announce it?

~ Yes. If a thread is made on H2F, give me the link of that thread in my Private Message or AIM: ZEE10101 and I will see if it's good enough to be on H2F announcements. We have opened our announcements for non-H2F hosted videos.

How come downloads are limited to 1 download for every 15 mins?

~ H2F has grown so much that over 250 people download something from our servers at the same time. If we don't set a limit, you will most likely won't be able to even connect to the server from 4-7pm.

Why can't I make a post?

~ When you signed up, you get an activation email with a link to activate your account. If you didn't click on that link, you can't post. In this case, contact me on aim with your username. My aim: ZEE10101

I am able to make a post, but I can't make a thread.

~ You need X amount of posts before you can make a thread. Don't ask anyone how many you need, just don't spam and you'll be fine.

How come I can't see H2F regulars or Modding sections?

~ You need X amount posts to get access to those sections.

How do I increase my "Level" on H2F?

~ More posts = higher the level

Can I advertise my clan site or 'freeipods' site?

~ NO! If you are interested in purchasing ads, message me on aim: ZEE10101

If you advertise on the forum or in your signature, you will be banned.

This post is for H3F members that are not experienced to the website. I will teach members of H3F how to do things on this site they didn't know how to do already. This thread will stop future threads made by people that have questions about how to do things on this site. If you know how to do the things listed no need to flame and post things like "well I already knew that." I know there are people on this thread that need help with some things on Halo3Forum.com. Ok lets get started.

In order to edit your post you must first post what ever you like. Than under your post there are several options. Press edit and it will bring you to your post where you can edit it. Type what ever you want than press save and your post on the thread will change to what you typed.

How do I do this? Read below.

Ok if you want to "Quote" someones post all you have to do is find the post you want to quote and under the post there will be an option saying "Quote". Press that than you will go to a post page that you can post. You will see someone like [QUOTE and what ever was in the post [/quote]. All you have to do is add what you want to the other persons quote and it will post something like that.

"How do I report people for flamming, spamming or advertising?"

If you find a post that breaks any of the rules of H2F, Rules Found Here, you can report them. Under the post that you find that is breaking any rules is an option that says "REPORT".... Clicking this is probably the most inefficient way of handling things but still works fine.

"How do I view a person's public profile and How do I send Private messages to someone."

All you have to do is click on the person's username above their avatar. This will bring up four options that allow you to send Private Messages, View Public Profile, View other posts from that person and Add to buddy list.

"How come I can't view the modding section and H2F Regulars/Exclusives section?"

First the reason why you can't view the modding section is because you have recently joined H2F and do not have enough posts in order to view that section. Only members of H2F that have a certain post count can view that section. Just post mature posts and you will be able to view it in no time.
Second the H2F Regular section is for H3F members that have been a member to H2F since before June of 2005. That doesn't mean you can't still view it. In order to be a H2F Regular you need to have about 1,500 posts. So keep being a part of H3F and soon you can be a regular.

At the top of every page on Halo3Forums there is a botton that says control panel. Click that and it will give you options to what you want to edit. From there just edit anything you want that is involved with you account.

Here are many other threads that will help you with other questions. These threads were made by other H2F Members and Mods. Just look around the forum and you'll find plenty of sections and threads that may answer your questions.
