Alright that's what I thought. I did this for an experimental video, but took forever.

If you want to do it with video, then the best way to do it is while shooting. If your camera has an auto-focus, turn it off. Then manually focus to get something in the foreground clear, and the background will get blurry, or vice versa. Works like a charm and I do it all the time.

I have no experience with doing depth of field for video, but I understand it is a very tedious process.

Also, if I am doing depth of field, I will always do a very detailed mask of my untouched foreground character, very closely zoomed in, I will take very long doing it. That gives a very good final look.

I wish the corner of determination was there, it would have been my 1st but the lack of corner obstructs the pic in my eyes. I'll go with the blackout one then, great contrast on the map alone.

I was seriously angry when I saw that. If people know the way that these kind of images are created, then you would know that once you have taken the images and gone out of theatre, you are not getting into that same place again, no matter how hard you try. Which makes it almost impossible to get an image to fill that gap.

I do apologize for that.
