I think its ignorant how many people that have never been there, or no of many of things that happen there, are strongly against the war because of what they've heard on the media. Yet they claim the media is full of bullsh.t and lies anyway...so...?

I'm against war. Period. I'm also against imperialism.

Also, to invalidate the rest of your statement, I don't watch or listen to the media intentionally, and when I do see or hear it, it's with extreme skepticism.

I can only hope the U.S. has learned it's lesson from such a costly war of attrition. Let us not forget the U.S. Military was encouraging our troops to commit certain atrocities for "information" either, because our history books won't.
lol the united nations doesn't do anything, there more of a joke than anything. bottomline is America saw a country in need from terrorists and the terrorists were threatening us. so we invaded, hasty, maybe but its done.

Say what? Can you please point out where I supposedly admitted that I was a pyscho. I'm not psychotic and have never been diagnosed as such. I have depression, bipolar, and anxiety. None of those make me pyscho. Stop spilling bullsh.t from your mouth.

If you're so greater and smarter than all of us then PLEASE learn the f..king disorders before talking sh.t.

The bottom line is the U.S. saw an opportunity to expand it's borders (militarily), take down one of it's well-sought after enemies, and stimulate the economy all at once. Unfortunately, without the support of the United Nations, skewed intelligence, and a violent backdraft from most of the Middle East our goal of a coup on the Iraqi Gov't was lost in the relentless insurgency that ensued 6 years after the initial conflict.

Any other administration could have pulled this invasion/occupation off flawlessly. Bush and Co. went about attacking Iraq in the wrong sense and the backlash from his "Bring Them On" attitude only heightened those hostilities towards American troops. This war, for the most part, was the biggest failure in U.S. foreign policy history, not to mention the now trillions of dollars of debt we face as a nation because of the longevity and funding of such a costly war.

The only way we will bounce back and retain our status as a global superpower will be to get the hell out of Iraq as soon as possible, try to fix the problems at home (sub-prime mortgaging, health care, immigration, etc.), and show the world that we are willing and capable of using peaceful resolve when conflict isn't necessary. After Bush II leaves, we now have to deal with gaining the support and respect of the U.N., stopping a global war on ideology, and appeasing many of the countries who stopped supporting us after the war. Hell, I hope whoever becomes our next president takes on the policy of isolationism and works on repairing our country for his next two terms. Could you imagine the type of increased standard of living to be had if we had a government that showed it actually cared about it's citizens and it's collective voice?

You don't know anything about this do you?

Iraq wasn't having a terrorist problem... They had no links to Al-Qeada. Saddam hated Bin Laden. The US went into Iraq based on lies and false pretenses. It was open deception, "bad intel" had nothing to do with it.

http://intelligence.senate.gov/080605/phase2a.pdf

And the UN has done hundreds of humanitarian missions, given huge aide to countries in need, and of course there's the fact that it's a uniting (or trying to) nearly all the countries on earth. To say that it's useless because the US government has ignored it would be incredibly stupid.

America has always been in debt Trillions of dollars most of the time being to our own citizens, and do you honestly think America gives a sh.t about its status We've always been hated by the majority and Iraq hasn't done anything to help that i know but honestly it doesn't even matter. I don't mean to sound like a self righteous asshole but i honestly don't like discussing things im not very educated on so please continue discussing but i will no longer be involved.
