I debate my parents about it alot. They always bring it up as "God says it's wrong"

I say "God married a bunch of men too, It's called the church"

well for me speaking for me it makes me uncomfertable some people are actually homophobic

i mean i dont believe god intended same sex marriges

i think it works this way for both sexs girls think its hot if 2 guys have sex and guys think its hot if 2 girls have sex but neither likes it if its the same sex as them doing it and i agree

Why should other people pretend to be something they aren't to make YOU comfortable? Do you not see what's wrong there? Whether god intended it or not does not mean state LAWS should regulate what's allowed in a marriage or union. Churches don't have to marry same sex couples.

And I don't get your last point at all. I'm a female and I do not enjoy watching male on male sex. If anything I prefer lesbian action and would be more inclined to have a threesome with two other girls than two other males.

Again I'll restate what has been said. There are no strong arguments.

Because it's nasty all fags should go to hell.

I'd imagine some of the arguments would be:

- Because it goes against christianity
- Because it is disgusting and immoral
- Because it is not helping the human race multiply
- Because it is setting a bad example for children


None of the above arguments make any sense or are valid in the slightest, but they're the general arguments against same sex marriage and homosexuality as a whole.

Well, the slippery slope argument used is that if you allow same-sex couples to get married then this sets the precedent for people to marry animals and members of their family. I've heard this used quite a few times, so be prepared to point out that this is a fallacious argument.

EDIT: Also, the appeal to tradition fallacy is used sometimes when debating this issue (I believe I've heard Bill O'Reilly use it before).
