99.99% of the people who visit 4Chan are not the people who are responsible for their internet bill.

ATT didn't do it maliciously. Its servers were being used (Windows users [esp. users of pirated copies], enjoy your botnet) for a DDOS, so they blocked access to one (IIRC) of 4chan's servers, as that was the target of the attack.

Whether they should have done that instead of, oh, suspending the accounts of users whose computers had been compromised (i.e., idiots), though, is up for debate.
