Lastly, a few things I advise for you all to do, that I didn't do:
1. TAKE CLASSES WITH DUAL CREDIT! My biggest mistake was taking 5 AP classes my senior year and not taking any for dual credit. I've met hundreds of kids here that came to college with almost 15 hours of credit already on their transcript, putting them half way to their sophomore year.
2. Make friends the FIRST day you get to college. Throw your past COMPLETELY out the window. Be confident.
3. Be single. I had a girlfriend for a few months the first semester, and it sucked. Took away from the college lifestyle significantly.
4. Go to class, no matter how easy you think it is. 1st semester, I never went to my classes, and even though they were easier than any high school class I took, I still got bad grades.
5. Talk to your professors. If you have time, go to their office hours and talk to them. I've NEVER found a TA (teacher's assistant) or professor that hasn't
wanted to teach me.
6. Drink responsibly. Honestly, there was about a 2-3 week span where I got drunk every Wednesday-Saturday night. And by drunk, I mean I blacked out every single night. I did stupid, careless, and belligerent sh.t. I've even lost a couple friends because of things I've done when I've been drunk. Also, I've broken numerous things from being violent and aggressive when I get drunk. So if you do drink a lot, which is completely fine, just make sure you can control yourself.
