I know what you mean.. Being rejected by a girl you like is horrible, but it happens, and you have to get over it. What I would recommend you is to talk to girls who look interested, not random girls.. You don't want to scared em' away you know ?

How to know if they look interested you ask ? Well, first you have to show her that YOU are interested, make eye contacts with her, turn around a few times (not too much, you don't want to look obsessed), gently smile. If she answers back, then you may want to approach her and present yourself ("Hi my name is.." etc.) and compliment her if you feel like it. Then it's up to you

Finally, try not to look like a big tough guy if you're not one (I know you're not), because you're gonna look like a complete jackass. Same for the confidence.. If you're not confident, but you tell yourself you are, you will most likely act like someone who's over-confident, but in the end, it won't work at all.. Keep it natural, stay yourself.

There is also no such thing as love at first sight, it's impossible. People would like for it to be true, hell I would, too. So the thing that sets girls off the most are first impressions, judge it by looks or whatever. Try to start working out, maybe buy new and better clothes. If you have yellowish teeth or pimples, get that sorted it; be it Crest White Strips or any pimple cream. What anyone else says besides this is wrong. First impressions are based on looks because you don't even know the person. The most important of all is your confidence. In order to get with a girl, picture yourself doing so. You will never get anywhere without confidence, not even on the smallest level.

To add to Stormsy's post: Like I said in one of my previous post, self-confidence and self-esteem both work the same way, together. You can be really confident about what to do, what to say etc., if you don't like yourself (the way you look, w/e), it just won't work. It also works the other way.. If you like the way you look but don't know what to do or what to say (ie. you're not confident ), you won't get anywhere.

I usually just start out with the usual--"How are ya?" "Whathcya been doin?"/"Tell me about your day gorgeous. ^_^" Throw in a compliment in there, and that should get them smiling even more. Get to know them, ask about music, what they like to do for fun, what's the craziest thing they've ever done...etc. Just start it out casually.
