It's not because you talk to someone from an other gender that you'll start to date her the next day. She knows it, so she doesn't worry (there are some rare exceptions..). So no, if you know she's 100% faithful and loyal, don't worry. Even about your ex, it shouldn't matter.

To conclude, you shouldn't worry about her talking to other guys, but on the other hand, I can understand that you do. This is how humans are: they worry about the person they love (family, friends, girlfriends), even if sometimes they truly doesn't need to.

1Messd - I know it's okay to be jealous, but it's not just regular jealousy. It's an extreme case. I find myself constantly checking my text messages/ incoming/outgoing calls for NO REASON. It drives me insane sometimes but I know it's just my insecurities eating me alive. It hasn't been so bad lately either. She brings me dinner at work, she has painted two different paintings in the last few days, and everytime I see her, she doesn't let go of me. I know I have nothing to worry about. I think these feelings just stem from past relationships and when I think about the past, I feel insecure.

Smuttny - The feelings of worry and jealousy are normal in any relationship. This I understand. I believe it is because I am so happy with my love right now that it makes me act this way. Maybe it's a good sign and it shows how much I care about her? idk.

Skerer, god of all posts - You're absolutely right. It is because I cherish her so much that I have the fear of losing her instilled in my head. The difference is, she is not a jealous person at all. She laughs if girls hit on me at work, we have never had an argument over another girl, and the only time she has ever gotten mad was when she thought I was looking at another girl. I'll try not to worry or let my mind wander because I know I have an amazing girl and she thinks the same about me.

I'd personnaly go for something really subtle, like a simple eye contact and a smile. If she answers back and looks interest... Well.. I don't know. I guess I would simply say something gentle, maybe tell her how beautiful her smile is or how cute you think her eyes are?
Anyway, to be honest with you Pinny, I wouldn't recommend you to look for a GF using the "let's go downtown and smile". But who knows..

If she's by herself, just give her a smile and try to make your eyes sparkle. A really good smile. Not cheesy, not overdramatic, just a normal person smile. Showing someone that you're a normal person and not some creepster is the way to a relationship, be it friendship or anything else. It makes you feel approachable.

But yeah, to add about the smile, just smile like you would normally do. Don't think something like "Ok, i'll try to make the biggest smile ever so she can see all of my teeth". Natural, cute, bingo.
