"Awhile" means "for a while", hence it's not used with a preposition. Exempli gratia, "Sit with me awhile". Although one could just as well say, "sit with me for a while".

Posts: 10,056 | Very nice guide. But I have pretty good grammar. I used to post like instead of "you" I would use "u" and what not. For some reason, I just am picky with my own grammar.
