Ok so there isnt a thread about this and engines have always been a particular fascination of mine so post-

Description
Year built
Power (stock would be more appropriate but if the motor can handle huge power on the stock block with power adders it deserves a mention)
Interesting facts
A link so people can read more info about the motor
Anything else cool about it

ill start

1964 Ford SOHC 427 ci V8
Nascar engine which was banned because it was too powerful/slapping other nascar engines all over the place
Was an option on some cars like the ford galaxy and fairlane
616 hp with one carburetor at 7000 rpm or 658 with two at 7500 rpm and 515 lbs/ft of torque at 3800 rpm
http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/...sue01-a2-1.php

now you guys go

3800 Series I. Used in just about every GM vehicle back in the day until replaced by the Series II and then III. Series II wasn't quite as good as I, but up there. These engines were on the top 10 list (Wards?) for numerous years

2jz-GTE

Stock was supposedly 280, but dyno test showed around 330 at 5600 rpm was a more realistic number. Stock block capable of handling 600hp on a good tune.

Inline 6
3.0 liter
twin turbo

Came in mark 4 Toyota Supras.

Stock block can handle MUCH more than 600hp.

The block and internals can only handle around 600whp, above that you will need forged pistons/the whole nine yards.

Wrong. One of my close friends has only owned 4 MKIV Supras and 2 with big single turbo kits. What would I know? His old car on pump gas at an easy 18psi made 530. He did a compression test and leakdown test right before he sold it and the motor was still well within factory tolerances. Go do a little more research before you make that statement.
