And the fact that the Chevy 350, or any model of it, has been in production for over 60 years and there's still manufacturing problems with them. Sort of annoying.

Sure there's alot of aftermarket stuff for it, basically a whole damn sea of it. If I were you I'd look up a 3.8 V6 from the Buick GN. Easier to mod, you can basically pull alot more HP out of it for alot less money then any N/A V8.

Over here in sweden you'd probably have to pay about $5.000, and you'd get the bigger brother, LS1.

So you say the 350 sucks yet you recommend him getting a motor from a Buick. You do know that General Motors built both of those engines? And what problems do the 350's have? Also the LS1 is not a variant of the 350.

By 350, I meant every engine made with 5.7 litres.

That also means LS1, LT5, ZR-1, any Chevy 350 based engine.

And I said the Buick V6 to do something out of the ordinary.

The LS1 is a 346cid motor. It has a different bore and stroke compared to the older small block 350's. It is also an aluminum block.

The LT5 is a Lotus designed dual overhead cam motor that also shares nothing with the small block 350 besides engine deplacement

Either way, 350 is a great, reliable motor that has stood the test of time.

Still, after 60 years, the block still has some design flaws that you would think would've been taken care of but naw.
