But as far as the charging system goes, in this OP's case, a 1 farad capacitor would be fine. There would be no need for him to search for a better alternator and get his re-wound. And or buy a new battery (although that would become high priority once you start sucking juice.)

But I just took your arguments on capacitors as if they were as useful as neon lights. They are very useful, although I guess you would say a cheap fix for a less powerful electrical system.

LOL, now I know where I heard them, Audio Obsessions out by me carries them. I wonder if they used them in their Rabbit with the 24-12's?

*frantically looks through his photobucket.......*

well the reason I asked about DD is because they are better known and are simply amazing, but the original brand Audioque is related to DD.

The guy who owns Audioque is the father of the owner of DD and they share a factory

it's way legit stuff

yeah capacitors are pretty worthless. the better thing to do would be to upgrade what is called the big 3. that is upgrading the wire from the battery pos to the alternator pos, the battery neg to the chassis, and the chassis to the engine block.

but for the amount of power that youre running, yo dont really need to do either. i have 2 amps in my car and one of them is pushing over 600 watts to my sub and the other is pushing 200 watts to my comps and i have no problems with dimming or anything.

For that power, I hope you wouldn't need a cap. Safe to have one though.

for components i have dls up6i's, these things sound incredible.
for my sub i have a elemental designs 13ov.2 in a 1.5 ft^3 ported box tuned to 32hz
and then i have 2 elemental designs nine2x amps

and midget, i know i have no need for a cap, i was just comparing what im running to what hes gonna run, around 300 watts to his sub, to show him that he really doesnt need to waste any money on a cap.

I would

SPL and SQ are lost when cars rattle. When panels hold tight it retains SPL and no more rattles
