After the end of the 1st Persian Gulf War, America made the decision to allow Hussein to remain in power. This was a questionable decision at the time and looking back, this war could have been avoided if we just dethrowned Hussein. Later after this war, some of the troops that fought the war had illnesses that introduced the possibility of chemical poisoning deployed by Iraq. These illnesses added to the suspicion that we had when deliberating whether or not we entered the war. |
