I'm mixed on what to do though. I want us gone but I've seen pictures of how some of them live from my brother. He showed me a family (3 little kids, infant, and mother) that lived off a broken sewage line and beg the soldiers for food-- forgot to mention that they live in a tent among other families. It's depressing to see. I still question why we haven't trained the iraqi soldiers so far. Our boys go through a few months of training and they're sent to Iraq. The military needs to get it's sh.t together or pull out. |
Why spend billions of dollars when you have a hundred thousand of the world's best troops to do your work for you? There is no f..king way in hell the Iraqi government is going to do a f..king thing for themselves unless they really believe we're going to leave. Until that time, we're a bunch of baby sitters.
As far as living conditions go, Iraq as a whole is far better off than dozens of nations. They're not well off by any means, but they're doing a hell of a lot better than most.
