1. The cells that make up the baby aren't even conscious of anything until the first (or second, I don't remember yet) trimester. They're just tissue.
2. Having an abortion should be completely up to the mother. It's her baby and her life which are being affected. If she doesn't want to spend a long pregnancy with a baby she doesn't want, she shouldn't have to.
