Well, the only problem with your advice is that waiting for the empty "host" boxes means absolutely nothing anymore. Now even when I wait for boxes I still very rarely get host. I don't know why, before the big auto-update over a year ago host box really meant host box, but not now. It's totally random. So with that said, going with a party does stop deleveling, but it's pretty much impossible to avoid cheating now without cheating. (Yes, I consider bridging cheating.) Just play, accept the fact that you will get cheated at higher levels and move on. With all the cheating, boosting, new accounts, and deleveling, ranks have little or nothing to do with how skilled you are so just play for fun.
